Job Description: We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Roles & Responsibilties:
- Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare, review, and execute manual test cases based on application requirements.
- Perform different types of testing including Functional, Regression, Integration, Sanity,
- Smoke, and UI testing.
- Execute and regularly update the Regression Test Suite.
- Test web and/or mobile applications across supported devices, browsers, and environments.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects using defect-management tools such as JIRA or equivalent tools.
- Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, screen shots/logs, and other relevant evidence.
- Retest resolved defects and performed regression testing to verify that fixes have not affected existing functionality.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to understand requirements and help resolve defects.
- Participate in Agile activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, as applicable.
- Maintain testing documentation, including test cases, execution results, defect reports, and regression suites.
- Follow established Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes and QA best practices.
- Continuously learn new testing techniques, tools, and processes to improve product quality.
- Gain exposure to API testing, database validation, performance testing, and test automation based on project requirements.
Skills Required:
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life
- Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic understanding of different testing methodologies and testing types, including: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke and Sanity Testing, Integration Testing
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Basic knowledge of defect life cycle and bug-reporting processes.
- Familiarity with a defect-management/test-management tool such as JIRA is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Basic knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and willingness to learn new technologies.
